In myth and legend Coyote is both creator and trickster, a combination of storyteller and protagonist who wages a battle against complacency in the natural world. Spirit, humor, and artful guise are his watchwords.

In this world, Coyote Films is a creative production company - the manifestation of muse in its many aspects. We create experiences:  documentaries, films, television commercials and digital media that let the eyes and the ears celebrate the differences around us.

We dance, like Coyote, into the future.

Once again, Childrens Institute chose Coyote Films to produce a new film about the important work they do in Los Angeles’ troubled communities.

Directed by Bill Bayne and edited by Ariana Wills, A Community of Hope features on-camera narration by Blair Underwood, and highlights CII’s blend of clinical, youth development and early childhood programs.

Following up on the award-winnning film featuring Angie Harmon, this documentary sequel shows how Childrens Institute continues to help children in LA’s most challenged areas heal from the trauma of family and community violence. Like its predecessor, it was honored with a 2016 Telly Award.
